In the last six months, I have had the opportunity to participate in two in-person markets. They were relatively successful and gosh-darnit, they were fun too!
I had no idea the amount of validation that would come with the interaction, conversation, and sale of a piece of pottery that I crafted! I mean, I hoped it would provide validation-
It was great to see some one look, and circle the table, circle back, and finally pick up that piece and know, 'that one'.

Like a warm-fuzzy just thinking that some one, some where is having a drink with me in their new 'Rocktail cup'! Or topping off that wine in one of my stemless wine sippers...
Or wrapping their hands around a coffee mug to wake up and warm up. I think it gives a lot more meaning to the craft.

I have looked for more options and markets to get into, but 1) Covid 2) Family 3) Work.
I know that in person exposure will help drive some traffic to my online website.
Well, I hope.
So, I have decided to host my own in-person sales event. I expect it will be small with light traffic. I expect most of the traffic will be family, friends and neighbors. I love them all. I have put the invitation out there and it has given me a little boost of purpose and maker-mo-jo.
If you read this and you're local, come visit with me on November 7th from 11:00 to 4:00!
more details in the Facebook Event...
Cheers!!
